A Matter of Balance

WIAAA offers the A Matter of Balance Program to seniors age 60 and older who experience concerns about falling. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning, evidence based practice program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

September 7th – October 26th: A Matter of Balance Class
Class Location: William Young Homes (605 E. 3rd Ave. Milan, IL 61264)
Pre-registration by September 1, 2017 is required. There is no charge for the call. A matter of Balance emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. Participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, exercise to increase strength and balance. A Matter of balance is targeted towards individuals 60 years of age or older, anyone who has fallen or is concerned about falls, anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns, anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength.
