Matter of Balance

WIAAA offers the A Matter of Balance Program to seniors age 60 and older who experience concerns about falling. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning, evidence based practice program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
The program teaches how to:
- View falls as controllable
- Set goals for increasing activity
- Make changes to reduce fall risks at home
- Exercise to increase strength and balance

Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
Our certified SHIP Counselors offer one-on- one counseling and assistance for Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage, and other related aging and disability health insurance options. SHIP counselors also provide information and assistance for beneficiaries with limited income to apply for benefit programs, such as Extra Help, Medicare Savings Programs (QMB, SLMB, QI-1), and prescription assistance programs. We are here to educate, advocate, counsel and empower Medicare beneficiaries to make informed healthcare decisions to meet their needs.

Senior Medicare Patrol

The Senior Medicare Patrol empowers consumers to prevent healthcare fraud.
Staff and volunteers help people with Medicare and Medicaid to:
- PROTECT themselves from Medicare & Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse
- DETECT Medicare & Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse
- REPORT Medicare & Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse
