Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging advocates at the local, state and federal levels for older adults and for services we provide for adults with disabilities. Advocacy efforts overall goal is to support the policies, programs and services that allow older adults and adults with disabilities to maintain their independence and elevate their quality of life.
We Need Your Help
The Older Americans Act needs to be reauthorized by Congress
Older adult services are facing an extremely critical time, with the pending reauthorization of the Older Americans Act (OAA). Our services are made possible because of the OAA, and without its reauthorization, we will be limited in our ability to help older adults. We need legislators to understand the importance of the reauthorization and our positive impact on the lives of older adults.
