Comprehensive Needs Assessment Findings
In August of 2023, WIAAA began collecting data to assess the needs of older adults and caregivers in our ten-county area. The bulk of this data was collected from an online Needs Assessment Survey. We also conducted eight Community Input Meetings to gather more qualitative data. The collection and analysis of this data was based on a foundation of sociological research. We received 1,213 usable survey responses and heard from 61 community members during the eight input meetings.
We identified four key findings:
Lack of awareness of available services
Concerns about health, specifically falls and social isolation
Need for transportation services
Caregiving concerns
